As it is the practice of most Nigerian Federal Universities, UNILORIN also gives higher priority to candidates in her catchment area. So you should not be surprised if you score 220 in JAMB and 80% in the post UTME and you’re not admitted but someone else with a score of 200 in JAMB and 60% in the post UTME gains admission. UNILORIN catchment areas are: The Middle Belt States which are Kwara, Kogi, Niger, Benue, Nasarawa, etc. Some of the South Western states are also considered in some cases.
For those of you that did not score up to the required cut off mark (probably 50%), there’s still hope for you as you can still meet your friends next year in 200lv without JAMB, mostly now that it is a believed that JAMB will bring back their policy next year. I believe this will be another way to escape the almighty JAMB policy.

How to Check UNILORIN Admission List
a. Go to UNILORIN admission portal
at http://www.uilugportal.unilorin.edu.ng/putme_login.php
b. Enter JAMB Registration Number as your Login-ID and your Surname in the spaces provided, e.g JAMB Registration No: 23655648BH and Surname: kolade.
c. Click on Login
d. On the Menu List on the left hand side, click on “Click on Check Admission Status” Link.
Successfully admitted candidates are to proceed to pay the stipulated admission acceptance fee which will be communicated to you.
