IJMB Programme Overview
Interim Joint Matriculation Board is an A’level programme that enables students gain direct entry admission into the university of their choice without writing JAMB and probably POST UTME. IJMB Programme is a 9month intensive programme moderated by AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY, ZARIA with affiliated learning centres all over the country. Since IJMB Programme was established some over forty years ago, IJMB Programme had helped a great number of IJMB candidates secure admission into 200level in any university of their choice without JAMB.
IJMB has proven to be better than JAMB and other DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION PROGRAMMES in the following ways:
1. Over 1.5million students write JAMB yearly with just a few thousand securing admission into 100level WHILE some few thousand students register for IJMB programme and over 90% gain admission into 200level every year.
2. JAMB results expire yearly WHILE IJMB results last for over 5years.
3. IJMB is just 9months WHILE ND and others take 2 or more years.
4. IJMB is CHEAP and AFFORDABLE compared to ND and others.
IJMB APPLICATION FORM AND PRICE
IJMB application form is always out around November/December of every year and runs till July thereabout. There are different ways of obtaining IJMB APPLICATION FORM. But firstly, We need to say IJMB FORM is #8,000. Students can obtain IJMB form in our various IJMB registration centres all over the country. For those who live in states or places where We do not have IJMB registration centre, they can obtain IJMB application form through E-MAIL. E-MAIL FORMAT will be explained under the subsequent sub topic.
IJMB PROGRAMME REGISTRATION PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS.
The registration procedure for IJMB PROGRAMME is simple and stress free especially for those who register through us. Let us first say that the only requirement for IJMB programme is O’level result and even at that, students with awaiting result can apply. All they need to do is make sure their O’level result gets ready before the end of IJMB programme so that it won’t stop them from applying for DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION when necessary.

1. Purchasing of IJMB Application Form at any of our registration centres
2. Fill in your personal and O’level result informations
3. Awaiting result can apply too.
4. Two passport size photographs.
The filling of the form and scanning with all other necessary procedures will be done instantly by the candidates with the help of our IJMB registration agents in any of our IJMB registration centres.

IJMB SCHOOL FEES BREAK DOWN
IJMB School Fees vary from one IJMB study centre to another. Also, the fees vary depending on the state and location.
Our most popular IJMB School is in Ilorin and the fees goes thus :
IJMB ACCEPTANCE FEE : #20,000
IJMB ACCOMMODATION FEE : #30,000
IJMB TUITION FEE : #130,000
The fees are the same at our various IJMB centres in:

LAGOS is #170,000 with accommodation.

IJMB GRADES AND HOW TO CALCULATE IT :
The number of subjects an IJMB student can enter for is three (3) in relation to whatever course they want to study at the university. Meanwhile, candidates with deficiency in O’level i.e English Language or Mathematics can also remedy these subjects while doing IJMB programme.
IJMB GRADE POINTS:
70-100% (A) is 5points
60-69% (B) is 4points
50-59% (C) is 3points
45-49% (D) is 2points
40-44% (E) is 1point
39% below (F) is 0point
For a student that registers for 3 subjects with grades such as 73% in PHYSICS (A), 65% in GOVERNMENT (B) and 57% in ACCOUNTING (C) will have the calculation as thus :
PHYSICS which is A =5points
GOVERNMENT which is B = 4points
ACCOUNTING which is C = 3points

Total points scored is 12points. But a bonus point is awarded IJMB students provided they do not fail any of their registered subjects. Then it will be 12 + 1 =13points.
Candidates should note that the average points required for most courses for direct entry admission into most universities is between 8 and 9 except LAW and MEDICINE which is 13points. Some universities even accept 6 or 7points for some courses. Here is the average cutoff for your preferred course .
IJMB EXAMINATION AND PAST QUESTIONS
IJMB EXAMINATION often comes up every February of the year which marks the last month of the 9months duration. The questions are always set by the moderating university which is Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The Examination is done in different venues across the country. IJMB Accredited and Recognized Affiliated Centres then go with their candidates to the examination venues approved to them.
Over the years, our IJMB Centres have been running IJMB programme with Lecturers who know all about IJMB programme. Most of our lectures also did IJMB programme at one point or the other. So, we know the best technique to use in helping our candidates have a smooth run over IJMB EXAM.

IJMBE COURSES
IJMB candidates can use IJMB programme secure direct entry admission into any university of their choice for any course including LAW and MEDICINE. But universities like;
University of Ibadan
University of Lagos
Obafemi Awolowo University and a few universities do not accept IJMB Programme for direct entry admission.

IJMB RESULT
IJMB RESULT is released in April of every year after the exam must have been completed in February.
IJMB programme candidates should know that they do not need any scratch card to check their results. All they need to do is to go to the IJMB centre where they did the programme. But in our IJMB centres, we make sure to send each candidate’s result to his PHONE NUMBER or EMAIL ADDRESS.
